Norwich City fans were left disappointed by a lacklustre display as their side lost 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
Goals from Josh Windass and Dominic Iorfa sealed a comfortable win for the Owls, sending more than 1,100 travelling supporters home with plenty to ponder and little to celebrate.
Many were keen to focus on the big picture after the defeat, however, with injuries to several key players providing mitigation and belief in the Johannes Hoff Thorup project still strong.

Finally home from Hillsborough and the only positive from tonight was the meat and potato pie. Absolutely awful, however once we get players back from injury after the international break I’m confident our form will improve again. #ncfc

Nightmare scenario for JHT with the only DM available just back from injury and not being good enough. There is no way you can get a balanced midfield out there. Plus it doesn’t help that the keeper is dropping a clanger in every single game to make it even harder. #ncfc

Most disappointing thing about that performance for me was the lack of intensity from those given an opportunity due to others missing. Can’t say any of them impressed #NCFC

Mair needs to start on Saturday. Sargent out long term is a massive loss. Crnac not up to scratch and no viable alternative so 2 up front and a change in formation a likely option. Needs a change up from tonight #ncfc

Injuries did play a part but tonight's loss was down to a lacklustre performance throughout the team, playing at a slow pace and constantly giving the ball away #ncfc

Tonight was the first time in six years that Norwich City didn't field a Scotsman 🏴❌

The previous occasion with no Scots for the Canaries was a 0-0 draw at Hull City in November 2018, 282 games ago #ncfc
Worst performance since Oxford, lacked urgency all evening, our build up play was too slow. Too many players lacking confidence now aswell which is worrying. Nunez McLean missing their energy in midfield #ncfc pic.twitter.com/gwLQUs786W

Crnac. I watched the ‘first day at the club’ docu when we signed him. He seemed so timid and lost. At the time, I put it down to a new country and not his 1st language etc.

But he just looks totally devoid of confidence out there. #ncfc #canarycall
Injuries aside, we put out 11 Championship professional footballers, and to a man they were dire. No urgency or desire, and that’s the bare minimum.

No wins in 5(?), not great.
Onto the next, I guess. Big game for them on Saturday #ncfc
He cut a forlorn and frustrated figure tonight but Borja Sainz was so much better than everyone else around him. The guy never stops trying to turn things around and inspire his teammates. The fringe players just aren’t good enough sadly. #ncfc

Tricky few weeks coming up for us. Let’s hope that we don’t get dragged too far down the league, not sure we have the backbone for a relegation battle. #ncfc
