Teenager Rio Mundle has penned his first professional contract at Norwich City until 2027.
The versatile academy scholar, who can play in both full-back and midfield positions, has formed part of Greg Crane's U18 side and has signed professional terms just over a week after becoming eligible to do so.
Mundle, brother of highly-rated Sunderland winger Romaine, joined City following spells with Leyton Orient and Tottenham Hotspur and was part of their summer intake this season.
He has played 15 times for City's U18s this term and has scored twice in the U18 Premier League, including in their impressive 3-2 victory over Arsenal's youngsters at Colney last weekend.
Reflecting on his first professional deal, Mundle expressed his pride at being handed the opportunity to take the next step of his career at Carrow Road.
"It feels amazing, it's something that me and my family have been working towards ever since I could kick a ball. It's such a surreal moment for me and my family," Mundle told the Canaries' official channels.
"I can play in a couple of positions. Right-back or in midfield are my favourite to play. I like to think I'm confident on the ball, ready at any time and I like to drive with the ball and get forward. I'm a very forward-thinking player."
