Norwich City attacker Ante Crnac played an impressive 65 minutes for Croatia’s under-21s as they beat Andorra 2-0.
Crnac started on the right of the Croatian midfield, in a similar role to the one he’s been playing under Johannes Hoff Thorup this term.
Dion Beljo opened the scoring midway through the second half, five minutes before the 21-year-old was replaced by Marin Soticek.
Veldin Hodza then rounded off the victory, leaving Ivica Olic’s side second in EURO qualification group G with 19 points.
Callum Doyle’s England under-21s were also in action as they too hope to secure EURO qualification, but he was absent from the matchday squad for a last-gasp 2-1 win over Ukraine. The 21-year-old missed out with muscle tightness, but is expected to feature in the Young Lions' clash with Azerbaijan on Tuesday.
His club-mate Oscar Schwartau’s Danish under-19s are in friendly action at lunchtime when they face Portugal, having drawn with France earlier this week.
Kenny McLean and Grant Hanley will hope to return to winning ways with Scotland, who are in poor form going into their game against the Croatian senior team this evening.
