As many as 12 Norwich City first-teamers are in international action this week after call-ups from all over the globe.

Canaries supporters will endure a break from Championship football until September 14's trip to face Swansea, but a number of Johannes Hoff Thorup's players could be returning with multiple games under their belts.

Among them are experienced Scottish trio Angus Gunn, Grant Hanley and Kenny McLean, who have retained their places in the squad after a group stage exit at the Euros. They'll meet Poland first at Hampden Park, before travelling to take on Portugal in the Nations League.

Compatriot Gabriel Forsyth has been called up for the Tartan Army's under-19s, and could feature against Azarbaijan, the Faroe Islands and the Netherlands.

Kellen Fisher and new signing Kaide Gordon have also received call-ups for the English Elite League squad (formerly the under-20s), while Callum Doyle joins up with the Young Lions' under-21s for EURO qualifiers.

Ante Crnac takes part in the same qualifying process with Croatia's under-21s, and fellow summer arrival Amankwah Forson has received a late call-up by Ghana.

Both Marcelino Nunez and Josh Sargent are set for late returns after playing in the Americas. The former could play for Chile against Argentina and Bolivia, with the latter in the USA's squad to take on Canada and New Zealand.

Elliot Myles has been called up by the Welsh under-18 team, who play three games this week in the Jezek Cup in the Czech Republic.
