The Canaries, who have drawn their last two matches at Carrow Road against Blackburn and Sheffield United, head to the Midlands hoping to end August in a positive fashion against Mark Robins' side.

City arrive at the CBS Arena with knowledge of the make-up of their squad until January at least.

Anis Ben Slimane, who completed a deadline day loan to Carrow Road from Sheffield United, could make his debut against Coventry this afternoon but late loan addition Kaide Gordon wasn't signed in time to feature for this afternoon's clash.

Otherwise, City head into the contest with a similar squad available to last week. Johannes Hoff Thorup remains without striker Ashley Barnes, who is stepping up his recovery after calf surgery, Christian Fassnacht and Jacob Sorensen.

New additions Oscar Schawartau and Ante Crnac could be in line for further minutes whilst Jose Cordoba made his first City start in Tuesday's Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace. They will add further depth to the squad.

With two draws and one defeat from their opening three Championship matches, City will be hoping today can be the moment to begin to build up some momentum after improving performances in recent weeks.

Coventry have enjoyed a mixed start to their campaign, winning, drawing and losing one of their first three matches.

Robins' men just missed out on the play-offs last season but are harbouring ambitions of finally making the step to the Premier League after years of knocking on the door in the second tier.

The Sky Blues are winless against Norwich in their last eight league meetings with the Canaries winning three of the last four visits to the CBS Arena.
