Abu Kamara has sealed a Norwich City deadline night transfer exit to join Championship rivals Hull City.

Kamara signed a four-year-deal, with a further one year club option, after completing his move for an undisclosed fee, believed to be a package in excess of £5m with add ons, plus a sell on fee.

The 21-year-old tabled a written transfer request earlier this month, after deciding his future lay away from Carrow Road following a successful loan stint at League One champions Portsmouth last season.

Kamara came off the bench for the opening two Championship games on his return to his parent club, before demanding a move.

The City academy graduate scored on his full debut for his former club earlier this season in the League Cup win over Stevenage, his only goal in six senior appearances.

Hull, Luton and Oxford all showed interest in Kamara, who was also touted with the likes of Celtic and Anderlecht earlier in the summer.

The Tigers returned on Friday morning with a bid finally accepted by the Canaries, and Kamara was given permission to head to London to undergo his medical prior to heading north.

City head coach, Johannes Hoff Thorup, made it clear at his Thursday press call at Colney to preview the weekend league trip to Coventry, Kamara would only depart on the Canaries' terms.

Kamara is the third academy gradaute to depart this summer following the previous departures of Adam Idah to Celtic and Jon Rowe to Marseille.
