Norwich City confirm 2024/24 Championship squad numbers

Gunn, who wore 28 since returning permanently from Southampton in 2021, has taken the vacant shirt to cement his place at the top of the pecking order among City's shot-stoppers. 

New signing Ben Chrisene has elected for number 14, which was historically worn by Canaries legend Wes Hoolahan, with the new addition the first permanent signing to wear the number since Todd Cantwell departed to join Rangers in January 2023. Sydney van Hooijdonk had it during his loan spell last season.

Jose Cordoba will wear number 33 for his debut campaign at Carrow Road, whilst loan signing Callum Doyle has chosen the number six shirt after completing his move from Premier League champions Manchester City. 

Abu Kamara has re-taken the 47 shirt after his successful loan posting at Portsmouth last term. Defensive duo Brad Hills and Jaden Warner have taken 40 and 50 respectively, with one of them expected to depart Carrow Road on loan before the end of the campaign. 

Other young players like Ken Aboh, Emmanuel Adegboyega, Jonathan Tomkinson, Finley Welch, Tony Springett and Guilherme Montoia haven't been handed numbers and are expected to depart the club this month. 

Beyond Shane Duffy's move to number four from the 24 shirt he wore last season, the rest of City's squad remains unchanged. Adam Idah will wear number 11 whilst Josh Sargent continues as City's number nine.
