Norwich City's player of the season Kenny McLean is a target for Rangers, according to reports north of the border.
McLean, a boyhood Rangers supporter, is supposedly being tracked by the 55-time Scottish champions with a view to a potential deal this summer.
The Daily Record state that Philippe Clement and his recruitment team have made McLean a target as they seek to bolster their squad in a bid to prize the Scottish Premiership title away from Old Firm rivals Celtic next season.
It adds that members of Rangers' recruitment team watched McLean both during the backend of City's Championship campaign and during the Euros.
McLean was ever-present for Norwich in the Championship last season and is contracted at Carrow Road until 2026 with the option for a further year. City secured his future last summer amid heavy interest from Daniel Farke at Leeds.
The report adds that Rangers held an interest in McLean last summer also, but the 32-year-old ultimately elected to remain at Carrow Road.
Rangers are reportedly keen to add more Scottish players to their squad after signing Connor Barron from Aberdeen earlier in the window. Goalkeeper Liam Kelly is also set to join for the Ibrox-based club.
McLean has made little secret of his affiliation to Rangers a few years ago - but any offer would need to be substantial to tempt Norwich into a sale.
"I'd be lying if I said it wasn't something I'd want to do," McLean told the Athletic in 2021. "As a kid that's what you want to do, play for your boyhood team. Right now, I'm about to play in the Premier League again, so I'm not thinking about it!

"But for me and my family, it would be pretty special. I grew up a Rangers fan, used to go to the games with my dad and as a kid in Glasgow, you support Rangers or Celtic and you want to play for one of them. So, I was on the better side."
Johannes Hoff Thorup has expressed a desire to assess all of City's players in close quarters during pre-season and reiterated that those experienced members of his squad had a role to play in his new era.
It follows fresh reports in Turkey that Trabzonspor have made another bid for Marcelino Nunez - with conversations understood to have been held between the two clubs.
