Jose Cordoba is now officially a Norwich City player after the opening of the English transfer window.

The Canaries announced that a deal had been agreed to sign the Panamanian defender from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia, but administrative procedures were still to be completed before it could be rubber-stamped.

Those procedures have now been done, however, with today's window opening making him the first arrival of the Johannes Hoff Thorup era.

Reports have suggested that the deal will cost Norwich around £3million, after they beat Glasgow Rangers to the 23-year-old centre-back's signature.

He signs a four-year deal at Carrow Road, where he'll return after playing at the Copa America with his national side this summer.

Their final warm-up game for the tournament takes place late on Sunday against Paraguay, after which they'll play group games against Uruguay, Bolivia and Josh Sargent's USA.
