Bali Mumba will miss a Carrow Road reunion with Norwich City as he serves the second game of his yellow card suspension.

Mumba left Norwich to join Argyle on a permanent basis in the summer for a fee of around £1million after an impressive loan spell with the Devon-based club during their League One crusade last term.

His departure came as a surprise to Canaries supporters who were relishing watching him in yellow and green - but it helped Norwich fund a deal to sign winger Christian Fassnacht from Young Boys.

It's been an indifferent season for Mumba and Plymouth, who arrive at Carrow Road on Good Friday looking to ease the pressure on growing fears of relegation.

Mumba won't form part of Ian Foster's squad as he serves the second and final game of his suspension after reaching the threshold of 10 bookings during their 1-1 draw with Blackburn. The wing back missed a 1-0 defeat against Preston last time out.

That has denied him a reunion with Norwich, and Foster spoke after the Blackburn draw of the need to support the 22-year-old during a period protracted by the March international break.

"We picked the team against Blackburn to win the game. It's unfortunate for Bali but we have got competition there (Joe Edwards and Matty Sorinola)," Foster told the Plymouth Herald.

"It's going to be difficult for him because it's a hell of a long wait until his next game. We will help him through that.

"He will be there to support Joe, to support Matty and to support the rest of his team-mates. He's a good kid, he's a good character and he played particularly well on Saturday - he should have scored. He can be pleased with his performance but I'm sure he will be disappointed he misses the next two."

There is also doubt over whether Norwich midfielder Adam Forshaw will feature after he missed the Preston game before the pause for international action.

Forshaw joined Plymouth from Norwich on a free transfer in January but has made just six appearances since moving to Home Park.

Foster is expected to update on the 32-year-old's fitness during his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
