Norwich City winger Megan Todd remains focused on the job at hand despite the allure of a crunch meeting with QPR at Carrow Road.

City welcome the Hoops to their home stadium in a vital game for their Women's National League Division One South East title hopes, just their second match in NR1 this season.

Todd faces a race against time to recover from injury and feature in her fourth game at the club's main base, having scored in every one of her previous outings there. She's confident she'll be ready in time, however, and is looking forward to the occasion.

But with eight points still separating Scott Emmerson's side from table-topping Wimbledon, City won't be there just to enjoy the atmosphere, and are desperate to give the best possible account of themselves.

"Obviously there's the crowd," she said. "It's great that you can hear everyone screaming your name and there's so much going on.

"But I think now we're getting that experience playing at Carrow Road we can deal with the emotions, the game and the occasion. You have to really zone in on the game, and we've worked a lot on that leading up to the game.

"It's that fine balance. We love playing there, but I think we want to put in a real good performance. We want to show, especially those who come to The Nest every week, actually the kind of football that we can play."

Not only will the atmosphere at Carrow Road play a part, there's also the matter of adapting to its large dimensions and more natural playing surface. Todd has no fear of doing so, however, instead believing the environment could suit the hosts.

"Luckily we've played there for a bit now," she continued. "We've played in a few other stadiums as well, at the Abbey and Loftus Road.

"I think we kind of understand the struggles of a bigger pitch sometimes, but I also think it can actually work in our favour, with the type of players we have and what the players can do.

"We are a fit team, and that's only credit to the support we get off the pitch."
