Former Norwich City player Damon Lathrope has taken on a new role at one of the Canaries’ Championship rivals.
Lathrope will be part of interim head coach Tom Cleverley’s team, after he took over when Watford sacked boss Valerien Ismael.
The 34-year-old is currently Watford FC Women’s head coach who led his team to promotion last season and has got them in with a chance of survival in the Barclays Women’s Championship. He has also coached Watford’s Under-18s.
Lathrope joined Norwich's academy in 2006–07 and signed a professional contract in January 2008, but never made a senior appearance. He had a loan spell with Conference South Bishop's Stortford but was released by Norwich in May 2010, going on to play for Torquay and Aldershot. He retired in March 2018 because of injury.
Ismael was sacked after a run of one win in 10 league games, leaving the Hornets 13th in the Championship.
