Norwich City supporters have hailed their 4-1 win over Cardiff at Carrow Road as the 'performance of the season'.
City delivered an almost complete 90 minute performance to brush aside the Welsh club to continue their pursuit of the top six - which is gathering momentum after five wins in seven matches.
Best performance of the season, Cardiff are woeful but that takes nothing away from how well we played, we look a different team with Sargent fit, fans played there part as well 💪🏼 #Ncfc

Bloody brilliant from back to front today

Steady on, now’s our chance… #NCFC
You can talk about the crowd vs management all you like. For me, today was what the supporters have been waiting for. We know we’ve got a team that can perform when given the chance too. Today they played forwards with freedom. It’s the negativity in decisions we haven’t liked.

+5 added to the goal difference along with the 6pts this week, vital. That was our best display of the season most probably, opposition allowed us to play of course, but that midfield was a joy and this level of performance looked impossible in late Dec. Núñez MOTM. #ncfc

That was all very good. Been a while since I could say that. Everything, from the performance to the atmosphere. When we play like that we’ll beat anyone in this division.

Well, that was enjoyable. A dominant home performance, could have been plenty more than 4. Shoutout to Marcelino Nunez who ran that midfield all afternoon. Onwards…#ncfc

Exciting few weeks ahead… #ncfc pic.twitter.com/iTs91sVxyt
Norwich have now extended their unbeaten run at Carrow Road to 10 matches in all competitions to leave them outside the top six on goal difference.
A Josh Sargent brace, to move him onto double figures for the season, as well as goals from Gabriel Sara and Christian Fassnacht wrapped up a memorable day in NR1 just days after a fractious atmosphere despite their 4-2 win over Watford.
It ended with all smiles and a palpable belief that Norwich can push into the play-offs. With exciting football and some quality on show, it was an afternoon that was much-needed for everyone.
City travel to Blackburn next weekend hoping to continue their fine run of Championship form.

Fair play to Norwich and David Wagner. They Deserve all the credit this evening. Ok maybe he’s not the man for the long term but he’s earnt the right for us to get behind him and the boys till the end of the season. #ncfc #otbc

Sargent now on 10 goals in 13 games. And some say he’s not the best striker in the league? #NCFC

Best performance of the season. Nunez was superb and at the heart of everything. 5th and 6th place are there for the taking. #ncfc #canarycall

Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed myself that much at Carrow Road. Class game, class atmosphere, and Lungi played - what more could you ask for? #ncfc

What an afternoon of football at Carrow Road. That was electric. We’ve got the best striker in the championship and we’re playing some lovely stuff. Onwards.

Cardiff atrocious obviously, I cannot remember a game where I found it so hard to pick a MOTM though, for the right reasons 😉😂😂!!!#NCFC 💚💛

First time this Season I’ve walked away from a game feeling really positive - don’t get me wrong, Cardiff were poor, but we helped make them look poor. Maybe we’re hitting form at just the right time!? Nunez has to start every game too #ncfc
— Will Bunn (@wbunny) February 17, 2024
I have to say, its great to see us playing so well at home recently.

Cardiff were there for the taking, and boy did we punish them.
Well done lads. 👏#ncfc https://t.co/CLX368ebb1

Cracking performance, cracking response too from #ncfc fans. They hadn’t scored 4 in a league game at Carrow Road in front of fans since April 2019. They’ve now done it twice this week. Momentum building? pic.twitter.com/qYzzkavu93

I will keep saying it every game. Nunez ran the show again today. Makes #ncfc tick. Constantly look a better more flowing side with Sara and Nunez together.
