Norwich City star man Jonathan Rowe has rejected the chance to join Lazio in Serie A, according to reports from Italy.
Calciomercato Lazio have claimed that the Rome club contacted the Canaries winger after seeing their advances for Sunderland's Jack Clarke rejected, but were knocked back by Rowe's representatives.
They report that he's focused on earning a move to the Premier League either before the January transfer window shuts or in the summer.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a host of top-flight clubs including Tottenham, Brighton, Everton and Aston Villa, but figures behind the scenes at Carrow Road are hopeful of keeping him until the end of the season at least.
They view him as a big part of their push for promotion this season, with Norwich currently just two points away from the play-off places and facing sixth-placed Coventry City at home on Saturday.
Rowe has been integral to the Norfolk side's recent run of good form, scoring a brace in last month's 2-2 draw with derby rivals Ipswich last month and the opening goal against play-off competitors Hull three weeks ago.
He's scored 13 goals this season in 31 total games, contributing four assists despite making his first senior start just five months ago.
