Norwich City hit the road for the first time in the 2023/24 campaign and are set for a reunion with Russell Martin as they prepare to face Southampton.

Goals from Jonathan Rowe and a late show from striker Adam Idah secured City's first three points of the campaign at a wet Carrow Road last weekend.

City will be without trio Jacob Sorensen, Borja Sainz and Jonathan Tomkinson for their trip to St Mary's - with Grant Hanley pictured jogging as he continues his rehabilitation from a serious Achilles injury.

Sorensen (pelvis) has seen a specialist in Munich whilst Sainz and Tomkinson are poised to return to action sooner than initially expected. They will rejoin team training next month.

Norwich are looking for the first victory at St Mary's since September 2008 - when Ched Evans netted the only goal in a 1-0 victory. The last league fixture outside of the top-flight between the sides at St Mary's was a 2-2 draw in League One back in 2009.

Martin inflicted a painful defeat on Norwich back in April as Swansea boss - his old employers will be hoping to act as party poopers in his home bow as Saints boss this afternoon.
