Norwich City's burgeoning momentum took a significant blow as they lost 1-0 to Swansea on the road.

Amankwah Forson's own goal was the difference on a stale afternoon at the Swansea.com Stadium, with entertainment scarce and quality low.

City were hoping to repeat their pre-international break success over Coventry, but within four minutes were dealt a major setback. Perhaps most frustratingly for head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, it came of their own making.

First the failure to clear allowed Jisung Eom into the Norwich box, before his low centre was unwittingly turned beyond Angus Gunn by Forson.

The visitors responded quickly, however, creating three chances for Josh Sargent that fell by the wayside.

But Swansea regained control as the first half wore on, Eom and Liam Cullen going close. The former saw his long-range effort tipped over by Gunn, before the latter's header was cleared on the line by Callum Doyle.

There was a headed half-chance for Forson just before half time, but the period's final significant action was another chance for Luke Cooper's me. This time it was Goncalo Franco going close, denied by another excellent Doyle block.

The theme of visiting impotence continued into the second half, a disjointed side unable to attack effectively even after the introduction of Ante Crnac. Borja Sainz went through on goal twice, but failed to get a shot on target on either occasion.

Swans winger Ronald came closest to adding to the score line late on, with little work for goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux.
