Ante Crnac makes his Norwich City debut this afternoon when the Canaries face Sheffield United.

The Croatian only arrived at Carrow Road on Thursday after making the move from Polish side Raków Częstochowa, but goes straight into Johannes Hoff Thorup's starting line-up.

He replaces academy product Gabriel Forsyth, who drops to the bench, in an otherwise unchanged XI from last weekend's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

Abu Kamara is absent from the matchday squad after handing in a transfer request, but has been training with the first team since and was declared available for selection by Thorup.

Jose Cordoba stays on the bench despite building his match fitness in that Rovers draw, with Shane Duffy retaining his centre-back berth alongside Callum Doyle.

Crnac's fellow new signing Oscar Scwartau wasn't registered in time to make the matchday squad, but could feature in Tuesday's Carabao Cup trip to Crystal Palace.

City are considering surgery for Christian Fassnacht after he suffered an Achilles injury, while Jacob Sorensen is expected to miss several weeks with a foot injury.

Ashley Barnes is close to the end of his recovery from calf surgery earlier this summer, but won't feature in first-team action until after the international break.

Sam McCallum, who left Norwich at the end of his contract in the summer, is on the visiting bench.
