Ante Crnac has felt the weight of his Norwich City price tag after shaking off a slow start to life in England with a productive goal-scoring week for the Canaries.

There has been plenty of external pressure placed on the shoulders of the Croatian youth international after Norwich spent £8.5m plus add-ons to bring him to England from Polish side Rakow Czestochowa.

Despite the price point being out of Crnac's control, it has placed an intense spotlight on his performances as he adjusts to life at Carrow Road, especially in the absence of the talismanic Josh Sargent through injury.

After a tough start, Crnac has responded by recording three goals and an assist in back-to-back Championship victories against Plymouth Argyle and Luton Town.

"Of course [the price tag] adds some pressure, but me personally, I don't like to read or hear about that stuff. I came here to play football, to get better every day, in training and every match.

"It was tough at the beginning when I came. It was a tough couple of months, but now I think I'm better with the guys, feeling better, and it has been a relief this week," he admitted.

"I was already one year in Poland without my family, and now it's all again everything new. I'm not used to it, but I keep going day by day to keep working. I was always physically ready, and in Poland, in the first half season, we played in the Europa League, so it was a match every three days, and I'm used to it.

"Everyone has helped me a lot - Borja [Sainz], Callum [Doyle] and the older guys like Kenny [McLean] and Shane [Duffy]. It has been all of them; I cannot speak about only one. All the team, coaches and people around the club are good."

"It was [lovely], but I didn't really understand it very well. The guys told me and have now shown me on the phones; it's a huge deal," the youngster said.

"I knew what type of league this is. It's a famous one, and I watched the football before I came here, so I knew it was fast, physical, and I knew what I was coming into."
