Ante Crnac was left buoyant after a massive week of progress for him personally and Norwich City after back-to-back Championship victories.

The Croatian youth international netted twice and set up Emiliano Marcondes to help City on their way to a 4-2 win over Luton Town at Carrow Road on Saturday as he responded to critics with successive impressive displays.

A goal against Plymouth Argyle began a much-needed injection of form into his game after boss Johannes Hoff Thorup called for more output after a challenging afternoon spearheading City's attack in their draw against West Brom.

It has fallen to Crnac to fill the seismic void left by talismanic striker Josh Sargent, and he admitted that three goals in two important wins for the Canaries has upped his confidence levels after a tough start to life in Norfolk following a big-money move from Polish side Rakow Czestochowa.

"It was a huge week for me. I always had the confidence, and I knew that if I kept working hard in training that it would come," Crnac reflected after City's win over the Hatters.

"My confidence grows, but it does from match to match. I just need to focus, keep working in training and try to be better with every game.

"It's been a great week for the team. We have played great football, and it has shown off in the games. We are a team that knows what it can do and that we can score a lot of goals, even if we make mistakes. We are all here for each other and help each other."

Perhaps the most impressive moment of a standout display came in the build-up to City's decisive third goal when Crnac, on a hat-trick, turned Luton defender Mark McGuinness and had the opportunity to shoot, but instead opted to tee up Emiliano Marcondes.

"I wanted to shoot, but he called me, and I felt that he was in a better position, so of course I passed him the ball," the Croat said.

"The most important thing was the result, the win and the team. We felt relieved, but we played good football behind but didn't make opportunities. That was a relief [to score the third goal]."
