Red-hot Borja Sainz is feeding off confidence after another breathtaking brace to help Norwich City rescue a point in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough.
The Spaniard opened the scoring with a sublime, almost trademark, effort from range before Boro hit back with three sucker punches of their own before half time to put City's year-long unbeaten home record in jeopardy.
But, as has been the case throughout this campaign, it was Sainz who sparked the Canaries' comeback, cutting inside before firing a fierce shot beyond Seny Dieng from an acute angle to put City within a goal of parity.
Dieng's own goal completed an epic fightback - and Sainz was able to reflect on another productive afternoon in front of goal.
"It's good - but the most important thing is the team. I can score more goals, but the more important is the work of the team," Sainz said after City's 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough.
"I work every week, and I'm so happy here with the team and with the staff; I work every day to stay like this. It's difficult, but the first thing I think about is the team, and then later, I think about myself.
"Every day, I practice these shots, but what is important is to have confidence in the pitch. I believe when I shoot that I'm going to score. I have the confidence of the team, the staff and the players - that is the most important thing to have."
Sainz leads the Championship goal-scoring charts and is the first player in the division to hit double figures.
The Spaniard's next nearest challenger is West Brom striker Josh Maja on seven, with a group of four players in Duncan Watmore, Josh Brownhill, Haji Wright and Edo Kayembe the next closest all with five goals from the opening 12 matches.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the only other player across the top four divisions in England to reach double figures this early in the campaign.
Sainz has already bettered his return from last season, but the challenge is now achieving a level of consistency as the Championship campaigns hurtles towards Christmas.
