Shane Duffy ranks the 4-0 victory over Hull as the best performance of the season so far, but admits the hunger for more improvement burns bright within this Norwich City squad.
The Canaries dismantled in-form Hull at Carrow Road to continue their progress under Johannes Hoff Thorup. They've now taken 10 points from a possible 12, scoring nine in their last three home matches.
City's playing style and quality of goals have continued to fuel the cautious optimism building around what might be possible under the Dane this season.
Duffy is one of City's stars reaping the benefits of this new approach and ranks Saturday's victory as their best of the season to cap off a productive week.
"We were really good today. From the first minute, we played our game and some really good football," Duffy said.
"Watford was really good at times, but as an overall I think today was probably the best performance of the season, but I still think there is more to come. It's been enjoyable. It's been a really positive week and entertaining.
"There's a lot of hard work that has been put in behind the scenes, so it's always really good when it comes together on a Saturday."
Despite scoring four, keeping a clean sheet and dominating extensive periods of the Championship contest against a side that had won three games on the spin prior to this encounter, there is a still a desire for more.
Duffy feels the passivity that City slip into during matches is an area to work on over the October international break.
"When we get comfortable leads, we're not doing it on purpose, but we step off it a little bit when we could keep going and punish teams more. It could have seven or eight today. That's the ruthlessness that the manager is trying to get," the Irishman said.
"He's not fully happy because we sat off a bit after we missed the penalty. Goals change games, and that's his point - a goal there would have made things nervy. He wants us to be killers.
"That's what we need to bring to the group. We have a lot of young players, and it's just about adapting to that mindset."
