Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn is keen to make amends for Scotland's disastrous Euro 2024 opener against Germany.

The 28-year-old was widely criticised for his role in a 5-1 defeat on Friday, getting hands to two of the hosts' goals but failing to keep them out of his net.

Gunn and his team-mates have the opportunity to put things right when they face Switzerland tomorrow, however, with two wins from two still guaranteeing a place in the last 16.

He says the Germany loss is proving hard to get over, but knows the Tartan Army can do so with a victory against the Swiss.

"It still hurts," he said of the former. "Everyone's still bitterly disappointed by the result, and nobody did themselves justice with the performance. We let ourselves, our families and the fans down.

"We've shown that we can compete against teams like that. Unfortunately the other night that wasn't the case. We take responsibility for that.

"It's down to us to bounce back now, and the good thing for us is that we've got two more games to put it right. We can still reach our target."

Attentions within Steve Clark's camp have turned to how they can maximise their chances of doing so, and send their fans home happy after a miserable start to the tournament.

"We know what we have to do to get out of the group," Gunn continued, speaking to official Scottish FA channels. "It's going to be difficult, but from our point of view it's pretty straight forward.

"We'll be preparing and looking towards that, and trying to go out there and give a good account of ourselves. We're looking forward to the game now.

"We've played against a pot one team already, that's out of the way. We've got a target: two wins and that'll get us out of the group. If we can do that then we've reached our target, and we'll look forward after that.

"It's down to us to make sure [the fans] enjoy it after the game a lot more than they did last time. Let's get the win."
