A relationship forged in Bournemouth created Norwich City's equaliser against West Brom, Jack Stacey has revealed.
The Canaries right-back crossed for Emiliano Marcondes' clever finish, reigniting a connection the pair initially found as Cherries on the South Coast.
The trip to The Hawthorns was their first start together in yellow and green, and the Dane had told Stacey to make the most of it pre-match. He was happy to oblige, claiming the assist for the second of four first-half goals.
"Obviously I played with him at Bournemouth, and he said to me 'I want you to give me an assist today. I know the sort of runs that he makes into the box, and he knows that hopefully I can find him. That happened today, so it was nice.
"We had a meeting [on Friday] where the manager did a quiz on how many goals had been scored at The Hawthorns this season. I think it was three before this game, so at least it was nice for the home fans to see some goals.
"I was thinking in the first half that for the neutrals it was a great game. Obviously there was a lot of quality in the final third for both teams. We felt like we could create and score goals.
"Of course we're never happy to concede, but it was an end-to-end game and I think we gave as good as we got.
"I don't think we want to go anywhere and park the bus and defend. Especially when we went 1-0 down we kept playing, and when we did have those combinations in the final third we looked like we opened them up a little bit.
"That gave us even more confidence to keep playing. When we did have those combinations in the final third we looked like we opened them up a little bit, so that gave us even more confidence to keep playing.
"Everywhere we go we want to dictate possession and have more possession than the other team. It doesn't make a difference whether we're at home or away."
