Borja Sainz has the chance to become only the third Championship player in history to win consecutive Player of the Month awards after he was nominated for his performances throughout October.
The Spaniard recorded four goals and two assists last month and is hoping to become the first player since Aleksandar Mitrovic at Fulham in 2018 to win the gong in successive months, having claimed the award for September.
That feat was only achieved by the Serbian and former Norwich striker James Vaughan during his time at Huddersfield in 2013, although his awards spanned the end of one season and the beginning of another.
Sainz is competing against Stoke's Tom Cannon, who became the first Potters player in 24 years to score four times in a game against Portsmouth, Ruben Colwill of Cardiff and Leeds United's Ao Tanaka.
City's number seven tops the goal-scoring charts in the Championship with 11 goals in 14 matches and has emerged as a pivotal player in the early weeks of Johannes Hoff Thorup's reign at Carrow Road.
"I work every week, and I'm so happy here with the team and with the staff; I work every day to stay like this. It's difficult, but the first thing I think about is the team, and then later, I think about myself," he said about his goal-scoring form earlier this month.
"Every day, I practice these shots, but what is important is to have confidence in the pitch. I believe when I shoot that I'm going to score. I have the confidence of the team, the staff and the players - that is the most important thing to have."
Sainz became the second Spaniard to win the award last month after former Derby attacker Inigo Idiakez in 2006, and another success would see him become the first Norwich player to claim the award twice.
His long-range strikes and goal-scoring exploits have won him plenty of plaudits and helped City record an unbeaten October.
The judging panel for the Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman; EFL chief executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies. The winner will be announced on Friday, November 8.
