Johannes Hoff Thorup had his say on the key issues around Norwich City's 2-1 Championship  defeat at Cardiff City.

An injury-hit Canaries, missing Josh Sargent (groin) and Anis Ben Slimane (hamstring), led going into the final minute of normal time with another Borja Sainz banger.

But Callum Robinson's deflected strike set up a home comeback completed by Callum O'Dowda in the 93rd minute at the Cardiff City stadium.

The Danish head coach gave his reaction to that, and the latest update on star striker Sargent following the painful defeat.

"We have to do some scans on Monday and have some experts to look at it," he said. "(Is it groin-related?) Yes it is. He felt okay straight after the Middlesbrough game. So something that happened a little bit overnight, or after a couple of days, and we could see that a scan was needed.

"And unfortunately there's more scans to come, but definitely not available this side of the international break. We don’t know how long because there's many ways to go, and we don't know yet if it requires surgery or rest or whatever.

"We have to find out on Monday, but I think it's too optimistic to expect that he will be available for the next games."

Thorup spoke exclusively to the Pinkun on Saturday afternoon at the Cardiff City stadium.
