Josh Sargent and Anis Ben Slimane have joined Norwich City’s devastating injury list ahead of their meeting with Cardiff this afternoon.
The duo miss out on the matchday squad for the trip to South Wales, with Oscar Schwartau drafted in and Ante Crnac moved centrally. Gabriel Forsyth replaces Slimane in midfield, making just his second Championship start.
Jacob Sorensen is also one of three changes after Kenny McLean received a three-game suspension for his red card in the 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough.
Sargent is understood to have sustained a groin injury that's expected to keep him out until after the international break.
Angus Gunn and Marcelino Nunez are still recovering from their respective side and hamstring injuries, and could be unavailable until after the break.
Onel Hernandez misses out after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Watford win in September, but is nearing the end of his recovery. The same is true of Ashley Barnes (Achilles), who is expected to return to team training after next weekend's Bristol City game.
Summer signing Lucien Mahovo graduates from the under-21s this afternoon to make his first senior matchday squad at the club. He's joined on the bench by Christian Fassnacht and Tony Springett, who have recovered from their respective injuries.
Once Norwich target David Turnbull starts in midfield for the hosts, while ex-academy man Michael Reindorf is a substitute.
