Johannes Hoff Thorup had his say on the key issues around Norwich City's 4-0 League Cup second round exit at Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Daichi Kamada, Jean-Philippe Mateta's brace and a late Eberechi Eze slaloming finish ended the Canaries' interest in the competition on a night when Amanakwah Forson suffered a shoulder injury.

Thorup gave his reaction on Tuesday night at Selhurst Park to events on the pitch, and with three days left in the transfer window, the fresh link to Sheffield United's Anis Slimane, plus the latest on Abu Kamara's situation.

On Slimane interest

There are lots of players I like and lots of players I look at. Of course, I know him from my previous time in Denmark. I like good players but you know me enough I will not speak about other players. I would rather speak about my players.

On Abu Kamara absence

I know there's interest, and there has been so far from the beginning of the window, but like I said, it requires a good offer, an offer that we can accept, an offer that we think is fair towards his value for the team. We have to wait and see but there is interest.

But like I also said the other day, for now, he's not ready to play with the team. He's training every day with us, but all this happening to him is just a distraction we don't need. So that is why we left him at home. Let's see what he's

Potential of loan exits for younger players like Ken Aboh and Jaden Warner?

Definitely. We are talking about that, because what we need to make sure is that we have a team now where it's players that are able to compete, and they can see they are within distance of that team, and there's a chance that they can get into the starting XI. If not, then we have to find some options. There are maybe three to five players in that category.

On Amankwah Forson injury

It's an injury with the shoulder. Of course, you never really know, but it looked like it might not be as bad as we feared. We need to wait and see.
