Norwich City fans were divided on various topics as the Canaries' Championship fixtures were released ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Some preferred to analyse the order of the games, spotting opportunities to build momentum and tricky periods throughout the campaign, while others saw it as nothing more than an administrative procedure.
Supporters were also split on an opening day trip to Oxford United, sections of them seeing a visit to the Kassam as a gentle start. Many worried about the potential pitfalls, however, and the effect a negative result could have.
What seemed to be fairly common, however, was optimism for the year ahead. New head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup will start working with his players at the start of next week, and football fever has seemingly sky-rocketed in Norfolk.

That’s a nice arrangement of teams and dates. Well done computer 😂 Good to get a trip to Oxford in early while HoffBall is still fresh and exciting perhaps? #NCFC

JHT's 1st 'proper' #NCFC home game vs Blackburn just as it was for Wagner..

Well, as predicted, City play each of the other 23 teams home and away between Aug 10 and May 3. Who knew? 😉 #ncfc

What could possibly go wrong? 😂 #ncfc https://t.co/uHA3Sxv397

Winning away from home to a newly promoted side screams title winners to me.
Also reckon our first game of the season will be moved for TV #ncfc https://t.co/hGcfAX0WKf
Start of 2025 looks fun… https://t.co/TowHAEFU8B

Our start to the season at CR looks pretty tough https://t.co/TuwvEE1fox
— Daniel Emery (@DanieIEmery) June 26, 2024
Yeah rate those. Oxford away first up is decent, home over Christmas, Luton away new years and finish season at CR. We go again. https://t.co/d1HpKn0oDB

Between the managerial change at #ncfc and how much I’ve enjoyed #EURO2024 this is the most I’ve looked forward to a new season in a while. Last season was probably the least amount of football I’ve watched in my 34+ years on the planet. https://t.co/to1VnHSClA

Preston (A)
— The Norfolk Sonic 💛💚 (@Ginger_Canary) June 26, 2024
Sheffield Wednesday (A)
Portsmouth (A)
Leeds (A)
All midweek fixtures. As always, you can rely on the EFL to put away fans first… 🙄 #ncfc https://t.co/0NT5kiR9Rh
