Championship winners Ben Gibson and Dimitris Giannoulis will leave Norwich City after the Canaries announced the release of five first-team players.

The pair are joined by Sam McCallum, Danny Batth and Jon McCracken on the list of out-of-contract senior players, while loanee Sydney van Hooijdonk will return to Bologna after City decided not to sign him permanently.

Jacob Sorensen has agreed a deal to stay at Carrow Road, extending his contract by a year with a club option to take that to 2026. Promising under-21 goalkeeper Archie Mair has also prolonged his stay at the club by 12 months, while talks continue with Ken Aboh's representatives over his future.

Notable under-21s to depart include Regan Riley, Kenny Coker and Flynn Clarke, who was sent to prison last year for causing injury by dangerous driving. Pedro Lima will also return to parent club Palmeiras after the end of his loan spell with the development squad.

Four under-18s have also been allowed to leave in a significant cull of academy players, with 15 departing on total.

City have also confirmed that Adam Idah, Abu Kamara, Vicente Reyes, Tony Springett, Jonathan Tomkinson, Jaden Warner, Brad Hills, Louis Shipley and Emmanuel Adegboyega will return from their respective loans.

Christos Tzolis remains at Fortuna Dusseldorf until the end of the 2. Bundesliga season, although they have an option to make the move a permanent one.
