David Wagner can almost taste the play-offs ahead of Norwich City's crunch meeting with Swansea at Carrow Road.

The Canaries can make qualification a near-certainty if they're victorious this weekend, with any failure on Hull's part to match their result meaning the job would be done.

The City head coach says he can feel the excitement behind the scenes at Colney, and is completely focused on ensuring his side get over the line.

"First of all, we should do the final step now on Saturday," he said. "Obviously because of the result (Hull's win over Coventry), the cards are on the table. We are one step away, and this is what it's all about on Saturday.

"Everybody loves clarity, and we now have the clarity. We are in exactly the position we always wanted to be in, being in the driver's seat.

"One step to go, and this is for us on Saturday. We're against a very good side, everybody knows this, three wins in a row, didn't concede in three games. They play good football, with a lot of freedom.

"We respect them, like we respect all of our opponents, but to be totally honest in this game it's about this final step. This is crystal clear, and this is why we're all excited to do this and to do this at home."

"If someone needs extra added motivation for this game on Saturday, then they are not from this planet and not a competitor in terms of football.

"This is why I'm quite relaxed about the mindset and motivation for us as individuals, a group, a football club, everyone in the stadium.

"We don't need any extra motivation, and this is exactly what I feel. This is what I'd like to feel on Saturday in the stadium as well, that everybody knows exactly what we are playing for."
