Norwich City will travel to Bristol City in the second round of the Carabao Cup should they overcome Championship rivals QPR next Tuesday.
The fixtures are set to played later this month on either Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31 - sandwiched between Norwich's Championship trips to Huddersfield and Rotherham.
Nigel Pearson's side beat Oxford United 5-1 to advance into the second round of the contest on Wednesday evening.
The sides have never met in the League Cup - last playing each other in a cup competition in the FA Cup back in January 1991, with Norwich emerging as 2-1 victors at Carrow Road.
City will play their first round tie a week later than the rest of round one at the request of QPR as they complete renovations at Loftus Road that saw them swap their opening game of the season against Watford from home to away.
The draw for the second round was made live on Sky Sports following Leicester City's 2-0 victory over Burton Albion on Wednesday evening.
Former City player and manager Martin O'Neill and Wes Morgan conducted the draw live from the Pirelli Stadium. Premier League sides like Chelsea, Tottenham and Luton Town all entered the competition at this stage.
Similarly to the first round, the draw was regionalised with City residing in the southern section. They were ball number 24 for the draw.
Norwich were knocked out at the second round stage of the competition last season, losing to Premier League side Bournemouth 5-3 on penalties at Carrow Road having seen off Birmingham in the first round.
