Galatasaray remain determined to seal a permanent transfer for Norwich City winger Milot Rashica, according to their deputy chairman Erden Timur.
The Turkish club remain locked in talks with the Canaries over a deal for the Kosovan international, who impressed during a season-long loan in Istanbul.
Rashica returned to Norwich last week and travelled to Austria to participate in their last training camp before the start of the Championship season but was omitted from the squad that beat Toulouse 2-0 on Tuesday in Kufstein.
Norwich are prepared to sell Rashica this summer but are yet to receive an offer that meets their valuation of the 27-year-old.
Gala aren't the only interested party in Rashica this summer - with clubs in Germany and Turkish rivals Fenerbache also monitoring his situation with real interest.
Despite adding winger Wilfried Zaha to their squad, they remain keen to secure Rashica's services ahead of their new season, which kickstarts in August.
Premature reports in Turkey suggested that an agreement had been reached earlier this month but the clubs are yet to strike a deal that will see Rashica fulfil his wish of returning to Galatasaray.
The winger has made it patently clear to Norwich that he wants to sign for Galatasaray. Some reports suggest that he has already agreed terms on a contract with the Turkish champions in preparation for an agreement.
Timur has provided an update on the latest state of play and remains confident that an agreement can be found in due course.
"We are in talks with Rashica. The club wants a certain testimonial. We need to recruit very high-level players for the Champions League," Tidur said at a press conference on Thursday.
"This year, the budget has increased between two and two and a half times. The testimonial expectation of all clubs is also increasing.
"There is still a gap between the expectation (of Norwich) and what we offer. We want Rashica to be in our squad, and we are doing our best for this.
"At the end of the day, it doesn't make sense to do the deal without the right numbers. We will agree on a point because Rashica also wants us.
"The gap has decreased a little, the negotiations are continuing."
