Norwich City winger Milot Rashica wants to stay at Galatasaray despite interest from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

The Kosovan international won the Super Lig title during a season long loan with Gala, and City sporting director Stuart Webber indicated at the start of the summer he did not expect Rashica to return to Carrow Road.

Now Sports Digitale editor Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reports on Sunday Rashica’s representatives have informed Norwich of his desire to stay with Gala this coming season, who face Champions League qualifiers later this month.

The 27-year-old has had summer offers from Germany, where he starred for Werder Bremen, and the English top flight.

Sabuncuoglu claims Norwich are weighing up the interest, with Rashica yet to return for pre-season training after an extended season featuring for his country in European Championship qualifiers.

Gala chief Erden Timur reportedly headed to England last week to work on transfer-related business, with the Istanbul club keen on a Rashica return.

Recent speculation in the Turkish media suggested the two clubs were thrashing out the terms of a potential €7m deal, with rivals Fenerbahce and Besiktas monitoring the situation.

Rashica, who is under contract at Carrow Road until 2025, was relegated from the Premier League in his debut campaign before making a handful of early Championship appearances last season.

But the Kosovan was a hit at Gala, where he produced 11 goal contributions in 26 Super Lig appearances in a title-winning loan spell.

Webber was clear in his round of post-season interviews what the future held for Rashica and Norwich.

"Could I see a sale of (Milot) Rashica) this summer, for example? Yes. He's not going to want to come back and play in the Championship," he said. "He's had a really good season at Galatasaray. There's interest.

"That might be a sale that really suits us because it helps us, not necessarily in spending on the squad, but it might contribute to wages for a loan player, or it might be actually we can do a bit more on the infrastructure or we can keep in the bank for next year."

Norwich confirmed the signing of Spanish wide player Borja Sainz following his departure from relegated Turkish top flight club Giresunspor on Friday.

Right-sided Brazilian winger Gustavo Mosquito has been touted with interest from the Canaries who still have Onel Hernandez, Christos Tzolis, Przemyslaw Placheta and youngsters Jon Rowe and Tony Springett on the books.
