Norwich City’s full list of Championship opponents for the 2023-24 season was confirmed as Sheffield Wednesday won the League One play-off final.

The Owls beat Barnsley 1-0 at Wembley, Josh Windass' strike earning them promotion in the final minute of extra time.

Tykes midfielder Adam Phillips, who spent two years at Carrow Road without making a senior appearance, was sent off after 49 minutes for a tackle on Owls striker Lee Gregory.

The red card didn't come without its controversy, however, as a lengthy VAR check was needed to determine that on-field referee Tim Robinson had made the correct decision.

Also new to the Championship are Leicester City and Leeds United, who were both relegated on the final day of the Premier League season, as well as Southampton, who finished bottom of the top flight.

The Canaries will learn in which order they’ll play their counterparts next season when EFL fixtures are announced on June 22.
