Norwich City performance analyst Dan Smith is leaving Carrow Road to become a first-team video scout at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Smith joined Norwich in July 2016, having been a performance analysis intern at Tottenham Hotspur and the Lawn Tennis Association.

He was involved with two promotions for the Canaries in 2019 and 2021 as well as relegations in the subsequent years, working under head coaches Alex Neil, Daniel Farke, Dean Smith and David Wagner.

He'll join a growing recruitment department at Molineux, and becomes the second performance analyst to leave Norfolk in two months, after senior performance analyst Josh Appleyard departed last month.

He joined Newcastle United as a positional analyst, where he provides video analysis and semi-regular live analysis of games.

Smith has also worked for Arsenal Ladies and Hertfordshire Mavericks during his career.
