The EFL have confirmed the key dates ahead of the 2023/24 Championship season - including clarity on when Norwich City will discover their fixture list and kick off next season.
As one season concludes, the attentions quickly turn to what comes next - Norwich supporters haven't had to wait for long before the EFL have confirmed the key dates for the new campaign due to kick off in August.
Norwich City will learn the date of the fixtures on Thursday, June 22 - with a focus likely to be put on when they will face a reunion with local rivals Ipswich Town in the East Anglian Derby following their promotion from League One this season.
It will also confirm the destination for their opening game of the season, which will kick off on Saturday, August 5 unless selected for television broadcast by Sky Sports, which would see it take place 19 hours sooner on the Friday night.
Between City's opening day clash and their second league fixture will be a first round Carabao Cup fixture to contend with. That competition will begin on the week commencing August 7.
Norwich have embarked on a summer of change as they seek to improve a 13th placed Championship finish this season.
David Wagner is hoping to churn his squad to bring success and fun back to Carrow Road next term. The German will undoubtedly be targeting promotion, with the Championship play-off final due to take place at Wembley on Saturday, May 26 2024.
The Canaries are expected to confirm their full pre-season schedule in due course ahead of the new season.
