Norwich City will fund their summer overhaul through the departures of young duo Max Aarons and Andrew Omobamidele, according to reports.
Change has become a buzzword at Carrow Road in recent weeks after a disappointing Championship campaign, with both sporting director Stuart Webber and head coach David Wagner hoping to overhaul the squad this summer.
The Telegraph are suggesting that it will be funded through big-money departures of academy graduates Omobamidele, 20, and Aarons, 23, with the right-back now entering the final 12 months of his City contract.
Both AC Milan and Nice are supposedly leading the race to sign the Irish international this summer with a host of other European clubs also interested, according to the report. Norwich value Omobamidele at £20million.
It's understood both Aarons and Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara also have interested parties ahead of this summer, with Norwich requiring funds to alter their squad and support Wagner in his efforts next season.
Aarons has been forced to contend with speculation since his emergence into the squad in 2018. He recently made his 200th appearance for Norwich, becoming the youngest player to reach the milestone.
Norwich rejected offers from Barcelona and Roma in recent years, but it would seem likely that Aarons will move on this summer.
There is also interest in winger Milot Rashica, who has spent the season away on loan at Turkish title-chasing Galatasaray.
Gala would be interested in turning that deal into a permanent one - with rivals Fenerbache also keen to add Rashica to their squad this summer. Norwich signed the Kosovan international from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2021 for a fee that could become a club record.
A sale of Rashica would add extra coffers to any transfer fund that Norwich will require to churn their squad.
Norwich are also expected to confirm the departures of out of contract duo Sam Byram and Kieran Dowell in the coming weeks.
Dowell is poised to complete a move to Scottish giants Rangers, whilst Byram has struggled with injury issues in the last two years after complications with a hamstring problem sustained against Liverpool in February 2020.
Webber has come under-fire from supporters in recent weeks for his role in Norwich's underperformance in the Championship this season.
