Dundalk central defensive prospect Emmanuel Adegboyega has been linked with Norwich City.
The 19-year-old defender, who joined the League of Ireland club last October, is reportedly 'attracting interest' from Norwich, Crystal Palace and West Ham.
The Irish Examiner report in a transfer watch round up the English trio are keeping tabs on Adegboyega, who is part of Dundalk's squad for their League of Ireland campaign which starts next month.
City have had notable success in recruiting young talent from Ireland with Adam Idah and more recently Andrew Omobamidele heading to Norfolk.
Fellow centre back Omobamidele has become a full Republic of Ireland international after emerging during the club's Championship title winning season in 2021.
Adegboyega, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, had various spells in age group football in Ireland with Glenmuir United, Warrenpoint, Newry and Drogheda United.
City's development set up has produced a number of first team regulars under Webber, with new head coach David Wagner willing to fast track the best talent into his set up.
"Everything I've seen so far makes me quite confident for the future," he said, last week. "We have such a great academy. If they are able to perform consistently when they get into the first team training environment, then we keep them with us.
"Some have already trained with us.
“It makes no sense now to name anyone, as I don't like to put pressure on individuals. But there's talent here. And I really look forward to working with them.
"Obviously when this window is closed, when maybe there is some space in the squad, then we will consider whether there is a space for one of our academy players. We have a few weeks more time to get a better overview.”
