A Tyrhys Dolan strike and Ben Gibson's own goal meant Blackburn Rovers left Carrow Road with three points on a worrying night for Norwich City supporters.
Dean Smith's side struggled to create chances in another frustrating home fixture, leaving them winless in three games in NR1.
City's players were subject to boos at both half time and on the final whistle, as the gap to second place remained at six points and they dropped to fifth in the Championship table.

Don’t think a manager at ANY club survives that let alone one that financially will capitulate if they don’t go up #ncfc
Webber has tarnished his #NCFC tenure.

Besides a new crest and improved training facilities, we are going to be in the same division and financial mess when he leaves as the one he found himself in when he joined.
What a shame. The five year plan, full circle.
Surely Dean Smith goes after that? There is absolutely no way the board give him any longer? Right? #ncfc

#NCFC are like the proverbial fly bashing it’s face repeatedly against the window pane. Doing the same thing time and time again ad nauseam. The easiest team to play against.

We’ve gone from Farkeball to Daftball. @BobRutler #canarycall
Going to have to show some sort of ambition for our friends in America. I'm sure this isn't what they thought they were getting involved with #smithout #NCFC

I am a happy clapper and even I think this is enough now - change is needed - utterly dreadful from the best squad in the division #ncfc

I’ve had this feeling for a while that the end of an exciting era is near. And working with a bunch of Ipswich fans, it’s felt like maybe their time is coming again. It shouldn’t be the case, as we have everything there to be far superior for years, but tell Webber that #ncfc

What have we become? A side devoid of energy and effort with no gameplan, style or identity #NCFC

It’s quite a feat to have spent a month with all the players in dedicated training camps and still look as much of a disjointed mess as this #ncfc

I don’t think I can waste my time going to CR for that anymore. As long as Dean Smith is there I don’t want to be 🤷🏼♂️ #ncfc

Norwich need a reset and fresh ideas as the club has gone stale. It was heading that way long before Dean Smith was appointed. Any criticism needs to look beyond the manager. #ncfc
— Nick Mashiter (@nickmashiter) December 17, 2022
The league table is what’s saving Dean Smith currently. Norwich are 5th but we are closer in points to 17th than we are to 2nd. The standard in the Championship is awful this year too, worst I can remember. #NCFC #CanaryCall
— Ben (@nelsonben) December 17, 2022
If #ncfc are serious about winning promotion this season, then seriously think again, with loans to repay apparently very soon, the board need to get real, cos promotion ain’t gonna happen with Smith in charge, change is required now!
— Tony Beales (@AntonyBeales) December 17, 2022
Just a numb reaction to that, no longer anger. It's been clear all season what a terrible coach Dean Smith is. It was apparent in 21/22 as well. Let's just not rewrite this as a new phenomenon, Smith and his staff should've been sacked in October. This is all on Webber now. #NCFC

#ncfc flagging. It’s hard to think of many managers who have come back from the strength of feeling that was so obviously against Dean Smith tonight. One win in 7 home games. #ncfc fans expect better in The Championship. pic.twitter.com/MKOx8SEIdW

I try not to come on here and be negative, so I’ll say this: I loved watching #NCFC under Farke more than at any other time and knew it would be a tough act to follow, but right now it’s back to some of the worst stuff I’ve seen in 30 years, with decent players going backwards.

Dean Smith has to go. Slow, pointless, boring football. McLean, Hanley, Sinani all awful tonight #ncfc #otbc #football
— Dom (@Cridland14) December 17, 2022
Why didn’t we sack Dean Smith ahead of the World Cup break? He’s never turning this around, fans are long gone. And even if he did somehow scrape promotion, there’s not a chance in the world he’d keep us up. #ncfc
