Galatasaray want to sign Norwich City’s loan attacker Milot Rashica for €5m at the end of the season.

Turkish sports newspaper, Fotomac, was among a number of outlets over the weekend who claim Rashica’s representative, Altin Lala, has met Gala officials, and the player is open to a permanent move if Norwich can agree a deal.

Fotomac add Gala’s CEO, Erden Timur, is set to travel to England for talks with City officials to explore a longer term solution for a player who has made seven Super Lig appearances in his season long switch.

The 26-year-old endured a disappointing debut tour at Carrow Road, in a campaign capped by Norwich’s Premier League relegation, after arriving from Werder Bremen in 2021 for a potential club-record transfer.

Rashica, who is under contract until 2025, moved to Turkey in the closing hours of that country’s summer transfer window, with the Istanbul outfit stating on their official site there was no loan fee involved between the two clubs.

The Kosovan international started the Canaries’ opening three Championship games, with head coach Dean Smith praising his attitude in pre-season, but was edged out of the starting XI by Danel Sinani.

City sanctioned season long loan exits for both Rashica and younger wide player Christos Tzolis.

The Greek linked up with his parent club at their warm weather training camp in Tampa recently, as he continues his rehab from a knee injury suffered at FC Twente in Holland.

According to reports in Turkey, Rashica is currently injured after picking up a knee problem in the 7-0 top flight win at Basaksehir ahead of the domestic World Cup break.
