A football fan who remonstrated with officials after being refused entry to Carrow Road because he was drunk has been fined.
Stephen Botham, 48, had travelled to Norwich to see the Canaries take on Leeds United in the Championship.
Botham had been drinking with other Leeds fans in pubs in the city, including the Compleat Angler, ahead of the clash on November 5.
Police were observing Botham and others due to their behaviour.
Botham, from Chesterfield, went to the ground but was deemed to be drunk by stewards who refused him entry at the turnstiles.
Oliver Haswell, prosecuting at Norwich Magistrates Court, said: 'The way he remonstrated took him back into the police's attention.'
Mr Haswell said Botham was warned by police but 'continued to be rather belligerent' and is arrested.
Botham, who did not see the game, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on Carrow Road when he appeared at court today.
Botham, who represented himself, said he felt 'embarrassed' about what happened.
He was fined £200, ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
