Here is Connor’s verdict on David Wagner’s Norwich City, who all but secured their top six place with a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road against Swansea.

• Angus Gunn            5

By his usually high standards, this was something of an off day for a goalkeeper who has proven himself to be one of the Championship's best over the course of this campaign.

The Scottish international made himself big to deny Josh Cullen in the sixth minute after the striker brought Josh Key's cross down. Will have been frustrated to have been beaten at his near post by Jamie Paterson's fierce effort - looked to be expected a low drive or a cross.

He was second to the ball after Paterson's deflected effort ran for Ronald. Despite looking offside, Gunn brought the winger down and was beaten by Matt Grimes from the spot. Got fortunate that Ronald's effort deflected off his hands wide after the ball swerved late on.

• Jack Stacey              6

An afternoon best summarised by his positive positioning but poor final delivery.

Failed to find a yellow and green shirt with any of his 11 crosses into the area throughout this contest. The most frustrating moment came in first-half stoppage time when he hesitated over a ball into the box after Sargent had made a darting run to the near post.

Caught out in defensive transition and Paterson asked real questions of him in the first half. Saw a shot in the 84th minute deflected over the bar.

• Shane Duffy              7

Three clearances, three blocked shots and two interceptions show the amount of defensive work that the Irish international got through during this contest. Shrugged off a first-half knock to play another 90 minutes.

Bailed Stacey out to recover and block after Paterson got in behind and fired an effort at goal. Imperious in the air, winning eight of his nine aerial duels throughout the afternoon.

Will be frustrated that he didn't find himself on the scoresheet after a flurry of opportunities in the second half. The first after Sargent's header across goal that he lunged towards. Saw his effort cleared off the line by Ben Cabango in the 66th minute. Then another header was blocked by Jamal Lowe late on.

• Ben Gibson                6

Quiet afternoon for the defender, who was steady throughout. His defensive highlight came when he produced a strong tackle to prevent Josh Cullen from getting in behind.

His raking pass was key in the build-up to Sargent's second goal, picking out Stacey, who laid the ball off for Sara to cross.

Did well to block Paterson's shot but could do nothing to prevent it falling for Ronald in the build up to the penalty. Four clearances, one blocked shot and one interception continues his steady defensive improvement in recent months.

• Sam McCallum      6

Similarly to Stacey, worked himself into good positions without producing quality from deliveries. Both crosses failed to hit their targets.

Conceded possession on 19 occasions but handled the threat of Ronald on the right wing well. Won six of his nine ground duels and eight of his nine aerial battles. Made four tackles and was only dribbled past on two occasions.

• Kenny McLean      6

Picked up his Barry Butler Memorial trophy before the beginning of the contest and showed more energy than last week's off-colour display against Bristol City.

Timed a run into the box well to meet Sara's corner but saw his sweeping effort in the area blocked by a host of Swansea bodies. Should have done better after a poor clearance from Carl Rushworth, but rushed his effort at goal and played it straight back to the recovering goalkeeper.

Lovely pass to play Sainz in behind in the second period and some intensity without the ball - but lacking the spark of so many of his performances this season.

• Marcelino Nunez                    7

An excellent display in possession, completing 31 of his 35 passes and covered plenty of ground in a fierce central battle with Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton.

His mazy run on the half-hour mark teed up Sargent for an effort in the box, only for Rushworth to produce a fine stop with his trailing leg. Guilty of overplaying soon after after being found in a positive position, opting to pass when a shot would have been the better choice.

Had a chance to win it in stoppage time but dragged a half-volley way wide after Sara's knockdown.

• Christian Fassnacht              6

Busy display - but lacking the moment of quality inside the final third that would have helped Norwich secure victory here.

Sought to slip Sargent in behind in the 11th minute - but saw his pass across goal slid behind for a corner by Cabango. It was the same combination in the 19th minute, with the Swiss sliding City's striker through, but he snatched at his shot from the angle. Nodded the ball into Sara's path for his wonder strike.

Rose well to meet Borja Sainz's deep cross on 50 minutes, but couldn't find the target. Lovely bit of technique to control a volley into Sargent's path on the edge of the box, but the American's subsequent effort was blocked. Did his defensive duties at points.

• Gabby Sara                        9

Star man - as has been the case in so many Championship matches for the Canaries this season. Deployed in the number 10 role with Ashley Barnes suffering with an Achilles injury that is being managed.

Dropped the shoulder beautifully to beat Ronald and Cooper in the 16th minute, but his cross was cleared by Josh Tymon at the far post. Latched onto Fassnacht's header before producing a shot with pace, power, accuracy and dip to find the net in outrageous fashion. He is in a goal of the season contest against himself currently.

Moments later, he dropped into the right channel before delivering a delightful cross for Sargent to guide into the net. Only the fourth player to both score and assist 12 goals or more in a league season alongside Darren Huckerby (03/04), Grant Holt (09/10, 10/11) and Emi Buendia (20/21)

Nine key passes led to a shot, four successful dribbles, and another astonishing display from the Brazilian maestro.

• Borja Sainz                6

Should have opened the scoring inside three minutes, but saw his effort blocked by Cabango from close range. Showed good intensity in the counter press to steal possession from Grimes and get Norwich on the attack in the 31st minute.

His teasing cross was met by Fassnacht in the second half, but he headed off target. Played a good ball in behind for his Swiss teammate later in the contest. Replaced by Ashley Barnes in the 67th minute.

• Josh Sargent                7

Guided Sara's cross beautifully past Rushworth to net his 16th goal of the campaign in a season hampered by injuries. Lovely bit of movement to peel away from his marker to work a yard of space.

Will feel frustrated he didn't convert more opportunities given the nine efforts he had during this encounter. Only three on target. Five off target. One blocked.

Forced Rushworth into a save after Nunez's through ball. Snatched at an effort after Fassnacht played him in behind on the right. Saw a fierce shot blocked by Cabango in the 49th minute. Knockdown for Duffy saw his header cleared off the line.
