Kieran Dowell and Sam Byram will leave Norwich City at the end of the Championship season.

The Canaries confirmed on Friday afternoon both Dowell and Byram will move on after the end of their current Carrow Road deals.

Attacking midfielder Dowell, who has not played since February after suffering knee ligament damage against Birmingham City, is tipped to join Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

Byram will also be a free agent after an injury-hit Norwich career. The former Leeds and West Ham defender made his first start in six months at West Brom last weekend after hamstring-related issues.

Michael McGovern, Danel Sinani and Josh Martin will also move on after their Carrow Road contracts expire this summer.

Former Northern Ireland international McGovern was the club's longest-serving player, while Sinani and Martin spent this season on loan at Wigan and Barnsley respectively.

“I’d like to thank the boys for their contribution to the club over the time they have been with us," said sporting director Stuart Webber, speaking to the official site.

“Michael has enjoyed two promotions and has been an outstanding professional throughout his time with us. Kieran and Sam both enjoyed being in the squad for the record-breaking points tally we have achieved in the Championship in 2021, with Kieran scoring some valuable goals during the run in.

“We wish all of the players well. They know that they are all, along with their families, welcome back at Carrow Road or the training ground any time.”

City also confirmed Isaac Hayden will return to Newcastle United and Marquinhos to Arsenal after the conclusion of their current loan deals.

The Canaries previously confirmed Teemu Pukki will also depart after Monday's Championship finale against Blackpool which will mark the Finn's swansong.
